FLIPSCALE Fi
FLIPSCALE Fi
Low Batteries & bad battery connections are the #1 cause of scale malfunction and inaccuracy! We test all of our scale returns from consumers. Fully 60% of consumer returns are battery related problems. This sounds silly but it's true! A scale will perform slowly, or read inaccurately when it has low batteries. Please replace the batteries often (and only use good quality batteries). We include good quality batteries with all of our scales but batteries can run low in storage. If your scale simply won't turn on while on Battery power, this is often caused by loose battery connections. Battery prongs (terminals) are made of metal. They must be making good contact with your batteries in order for the scale to power on. You can use a paperclip to slightly bend the battery prongs to make them have a better connection. Also some poorly designed batteries have recessed or partially obstructed battery terminals. This may cause your prongs to be touching the plastic housing of the battery instead of the metal battery terminal.
This is the Owners Manual and Calibration guide for the Flipscale Interactive The iFlip uses the same internal program as the Palmscale 5.0. So, for advanced programming information, please view the Palmscale 5.0 Advanced Programming/Repair .
OPERATION and CALIBRATION INSTRUCTIONS
The FLIPSCALE Fi is very easy to operate. However, there are certain caring and operation instructions you should read before your first use We know taking the time to read these instructions is time consuming, but this scale is a precision instrument and must be handled with the utmost care.

CALIBRATION INSTRUCTIONS
THIS SCALE IS ACCURATE WITHIN 0.1g, only calibrate if your readings are inaccurate beyond 0.1g. Allow your scale to warm up for several seconds before calibration. Always move your hands very gently during calibration as to not cause vibrations or air movement.

2. Put a 100g standard weight on the platform and wait until it is stable.
3. Press and hold the MODE button for several seconds until the display flashes 100.0 twice.
Calibration is complete, release the MODE button and remove the weight from the platform.
If your readings are still inaccurate, perform calibration again.. If your scale will not properly calibrate or shows “err” please visit our website for advanced calibration & troubleshooting instructions
BATTERY INSTRUCTIONS
Use 2 CR2032 3volt batteries. Please make sure the polarity is correct when installing new batteries. Slide the locking switch near the battery cover to access batteries. Low batteries are the #1 cause of scale malfunction so be sure your batteries are good.
Advanced Stability Feature (ASF)

Words of Advice:
The FLIPSCALE Fi is the most innovative, interactive pocket scale ever created. Please remember that this is a precision instrument. It is essential that you never drop, shake or otherwise mishandle this instrument. Electronic precision scales use delicate sensors that can easily be damaged if the scale is excessively shocked, dropped or overloaded. If you treat your FLIPSCALE Fi well, it will serve you well for many years.
Please be good to your FLIPSCALE !
